December 2022

Dear Church Family,

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! What a blessing Christmas is to all of us and particularly our North Central church family!

We look forward to the study of God’s Word on Sunday mornings in Luke 1 and 2, the songs of Christmas. We are entitling this series It’s Christmastime! Let’s Sing! Over the next weeks we will study the great songs of Christmas. We studied the song of Elizabeth last week on November 27th. We will study the song of Mary on December 4th, the song of Zacharias on December 11th, the song of the angels on December 18th, and on December 25th we will study the song of Simeon. These great songs of Christmas remind us to anticipate the greatness of the coming of Jesus.

On December 4th our women’s ministry is hosting an event for all of our ladies called A Cozy Christmas Party. This is at 6:30pm at the church. Come for wonderful fellowship, refreshments, and community together. Don’t miss this special event!

Our children and youth are working together on Sunday December 11th for a mission project to those in need in our community. This will be done in Life Groups at 9:30 in our 200 building. There’s a list of items that you can bring this coming Sunday and throughout this next week that our kids and youth will put together for the homeless. This is going to be a special event taking place during life groups on Sunday December 11th

December 18th at 6:00pm we will have the Smoky Mountain Christmas concert with the Privette family. What a highlight of the year this is! Don’t miss bringing your family and all your friends to this very special event!

On Christmas Eve at 5:00pm we will celebrate with our Candlelight Christmas Eve service. We will take the Lord’s Supper, sing carols, and have a wonderful time together. This is a great service for all of your family to attend together on Christmas Eve. Don’t miss it!

On Christmas morning December 25th we will have one service at 10:45am that we’re calling An Acoustic Christmas Morning. We’ll have special singing of Christmas carols and special activities for kids. Robert and Michael Privette will lead our congregation in worship and we will study the song of salvation from Simeon. It’s not very often that we have Christmas morning on a Sunday, but this is our opportunity to worship our Lord together on a special Christmas morning! Don’t miss it! It will be special for all of our families.

We will be voting on our 2023 budget on Sunday December 4th at 10:20am. Our Life Groups will dismiss a little early on this day in order to make time for our special business meeting to vote on our 2023 budget.

I want you to be praying for our search for a Youth Pastor and for other staff positions that need to be filled. We’re so excited about who the Lord may bring our way to work with our students. Meanwhile we have an incredible volunteer staff that have done a tremendous job reaching our students!

We’re so thankful for this Christmas season. I cannot think of a more exciting time to serve our Lord through the ministry of North Central. We have a lot happening this month! Let’s take advantage of focusing our Christmas on the Lord Jesus Christ, the greatest gift of all! May the Lord continue to bless this precious fellowship of believers. Merry Christmas from Kelly and our family!

Love in Jesus,
