Dear Church Family,
For almost eight decades the North Central Baptist Church has proclaimed the message of Jesus to our city and even to the world! Truly, the people who have been transformed by the glorious gospel of Christ will continue that witness to even more in the days ahead. These are truly exciting days in the life of this precious fellowship of believers. You are a part of what God is doing in this place, a part of the story of spiritual victory for those we are privileged to impact.
Our church recently built the new educational building which added 16 new classrooms to provide the space we need to teach God’s Word effectively to all ages. This building was the result of the vision of our entire church family to build needed space and eliminate all existing debt. Our new building is built and is completely paid for and now we must tackle and eliminate the existing debt on our original building. It has become clear to the church family that eliminating this debt will provide even more resources to fulfill the mission of our church. Not only will we have peace that we “owe no man anything”, but we can potentially save over $800,000.00 in interest alone! Think of all that could be done with the resources that will be freed up!
“Unhindered” is the theme for this stewardship campaign! It is based upon the powerful scripture in Hebrews 12:1 which challenges us as believers to remove anything that could slow us down in fulfilling our mission. We believe that with God’s guidance, this ministry will fulfill the financial needs of our church. As a part of our Unhindered ministry, every household is asked to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment (over and above your on-going tithes and offerings) to be given over the next three years. We hope to raise the necessary funds in order to eliminate our existing debt. As you can see, Unhindered is an important step to our future and your involvement impacts its success.
Watch your mailbox for an invitation to attend our Vision Gathering scheduled for October 5th. The purpose of this meeting is to share information with you, to answer any questions you might have, and to encourage you to make this a special matter in your personal daily prayers. Following your receipt of an invitation, you will be contacted to confirm your attendance. Please know that your participation in this Vision Gathering is very important and no commitments will be taken at this meeting. When you are contacted, please say “Yes”.
These are exciting days of decision in our church. Let us commit to seek and act in God’s will to the glory of God we will move ahead with faith.
In His Name,
Calvin J. Carr
