Dear Church Family,
Wow! What a powerful Easter celebration that we had! In recent days, people have been getting saved and seeing Christ change their lives. We have watched many be baptized in the previous weeks and for this we are grateful. We should never lose sight of our purpose: to make disciples of all nations (all the people groups of the world).
I want you to be praying about several missions opportunities that are before us. Our College Ministry is taking 13 students overseas next month. We must bathe them in prayer. Prayer gets the will of God into the people of God and the places we serve. I’m thankful for all that Matt Seitz and our college team is doing. This is a great work that is happening in our fellowship. We will commission this team in a service soon. Also, if you would like to help any of these 13 students financially, we would receive that gift with gratitude. This is a huge endeavor and our students are working hard to raise up the needed funds. Just send in a gift in the offering and mark it “Missions.”
We will also be taking a group to Cuba the last week of September. We will need to finalize our team in the next month. Be on the look out for a mission team meeting for all interested. We will be working alongside a Cuban pastor who is reaching his community. They need our help in evangelism and even some construction!
I want to ask you to pray about us reaching out to our community this summer through a Summer Missionary ministry, led by college students and older teenagers. For this to happen, folks who have a burden for their neighborhood need to give us their front yard in the morning for one week in the summer to reach out to the children of their neighborhood. Our students will lead a Backyard Bible Club meeting that will prayerfully reach some new families that we couldn’t reach otherwise. All of this will build up to our Vacation Bible School in late July. Pray about this with me.
Plug into all of the special events of April. These can be found in the bulletin. All of these events are amazing opportunities to Connect our Community to Christ and His Church (C4).
Remember the 100-Voice Boyce College Choir that will be here on the 17th at 6pm. Don’t miss this. And, make sure you are plugged in to one of our Love Loud events scheduled for the 24th. We will begin signing up for these this Sunday, April 3.
It is truly a joy to watch all that Jesus is doing in our fellowship. Find someone to encourage; someone to disciple! Your life can be a life that goes on and on in its impact as you become a multiplying disciple.
It is a joy to be your Pastor,
