Dear North Central Family,
Happy Summer! What a blessing to serve the Lord together. June is packed with new opportunities to “make disciples” and allow Jesus to use us. Let me take this opportunity to remind you of our mission: “Reflecting Christ’s Light to Gainesville and the World!” Everything we do should in some way fulfill this mission statement. We are given the commission of our Lord to go and share His Love and to disciple those whom we win to faith in Jesus Christ. My prayer is that you would continually share the “3 Circles” as God opens doors. Our worship services, our Bible Study Groups, our preschool, children, and youth ministries are all done to make disciples. We are commanded to go to the world by our praying, our giving, and by our physical going. Pray that we will squeeze every resource we have to be effective in this God-given mission. Our study in Romans is challenging us to “live out” the amazing grace of
God in our lives.
We have a brand new emphasis on both Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. Check out these special Sunday night fellowship times:
Summer Nights 2015
6/7 Lord’s Supper
6/14 Ice Cream Fellowship
6/28 Waterpark Day
7/5 All-American Night
7/12 PraiSing 2015
7/19 Lord’s Supper
8/2 VBS Family Night
8/16 A Night of the Classics
Sunday night should be a time of Spiritual growth and fellowship. We have added some extra church-wide fellowships on Sunday evenings. Don’t miss these. The summer allows us to do this in our schedule.
Karrie Anderson and her team have worked hard preparing for Expedition Wednesdays. Our preschoolers and children have special recreation, crafts and Bible study prepared for them each Wednesday of the Summer. Come for prayer meeting if you would like at 4pm, stay for dinner at 5, and then involve your family in the activities for each one at 6. Our teenagers are having a particularly awesome time together this summer. Their number is growing! Don’t let your teenagers miss the excitement of Sundays and Wednesdays at North Central.
On Sunday night, June 14, Rev. Matt Seitz and Phillip Barb will share about their recent East Asia Mission Trip. What an awesome time they had as they advanced the kingdom for our Lord. They will show a video that will blow you away! I promise you! Don’t miss this night!
Sunday, June 21 is Father’s Day. Every man presented will receive a copy of Coach Tony Dungy’s book: “Playbook for an Uncommon Life”. I believe this book will be a blessing and a challenge to you.
I want to encourage our Middle and High School students to get signed up for Super Summer Camp, scheduled for July 20-24 at beautiful Lake Yale. What an awesome time this will be. We have a great group already signed up. Don’t let your student miss this awesome week!
It is a joy to be your Pastor. We continue to see financial miracles as well in our fellowhip with budget giving and our Unhindered Campaign. Let’s remain strong in giving through the Summer! Our greatest excitement is over lives being changed by His wonderful grace!
