We are excited to announce that this summer, in light of COVID-19, we’re still going to have the wonderful opportunity to continue to live on mission for a week! From June 29 through July 3 we’re going to be giving tools and tactics for sharing our faith, then putting them into practice by serving our community! Because this trip is local, it’s open for both middle and high school students this year. Check out below for more information!

Here’s some quick info about the week

Dates:  June 28 – July 3 | Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 8:30-12:30

Special event: Thursday night we’re having a special lock in for our HIGH SCHOOL starting at 5pm going through our special trip on Friday

Cost: $35 – Includes shirt, lunch and evangelism material

Lodging: Students will be staying at their homes each night

Missions: (All will be done within CDC guidelines) Serving food, working on projects around the church and in the community (community projects will be all outdoor). Meghan Williams, our very own missionary working here in GNV is helping set up the missions projects for us.

Transportation: Personal vehicles driven by one of our approved adult leaders.

Online portion: For those who can’t come, we’ll be live-streaming the morning and evening sessions so you can follow along with us! Additionally, we’ll send you a missions-in-a-box, full of creative elements that coincide with what we’re learning.

FAQ about the Trip

Q: How many chaperones will there be?
A: We’ll have one adult per 5 students.

Q: Can Middle School students attend?
A: Yes! Though they wont be able to participate in our lock-in Thursday night.

Q: Can I be a chaperone?
A: We are always looking for volunteers, fill out the link below and we’ll follow up with you.

Q: When do I need to register by?
A: We ask for all applications to be turned in by June 21st

Q: Do I have to fill out a new medical form?
A: Yes, unless you turned one in for DNOW 2020, we’re asking everyone to turn in new forms in light of COVID-19.

FAQs about COVID-19

Q: Will I be refunded in the event is canceled?
A: Yes. Full refunds will be made.

Q: Will there be any testing for students to ensure that no one has COVID-19?
A: Yes, all students will be asked to have their temperature taken before check-in. Also, any students who are exhibiting any symptoms (fever, exhaustion or other cold-like symptoms) will be sent home. 

Q: What about social distancing?
A: Our facilities have adequate space for our students to spread out.
