Dear Church Family,
The Bible says, “In everything give thanks.” When you think of the grace of the Lord upon this precious fellowship, you can’t help but praise His Holy Name for the bountiful blessings we all share. It is truly a joy for the Carrs to be a part of such a wonderful church family. This month gives us opportunities to reach out to others and to take inventory of our blessings.
Love Loud! is the November effort of our church to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
November 1st is Orphan Sunday-a day in which we are collecting diapers to give to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home to distribute through their ministry to kids that need them. The FBCH does an outstanding job doing the great work of getting the love of Jesus to children who are without a family to care for them. Matt Seitz will be preaching on November 1st as a part of this emphasis. Matt was adopted, which gives him a unique perspective on the growing need of the church to care for orphans. This is a cause very dear to his heart and to mine also.
November 8th is the night that we will have our Life Group Fellowships. I encourage you to get someone on your heart to bring with you to your fellowship. I know that there is someone in your world who needs to know of God’s love through Christ. This fellowship is a great opportunity to invite this person to a non-threatening environment to meet others on the journey with Jesus.
November 15th is the day that we are bringing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be sent off to Samaritan’s purse to be distributed all over the world. The world is hurting in many places right now and these gifts prepared with Jesus’ love will bring hope to many children. Please make as many as you possibly can to add to our number.
We welcome River Jordan to North Central on Sunday night, November 22nd at 6 pm. You will enjoy a special concert of wonderful quartet music and then afterward Mrs. Ann will have some awesome refreshments for us. Mark this date on your calendar! You will not want to miss this concert.
November 20 our youth will have a Fall Cookout at the Pattersons. This has become a highlight each year as the youth gather for a cookout and games. We will share the gospel and reach out to new friends on this night.
On Sunday night, November 29th we welcome Joey and Christy Allen to North Central. They serve with the International Mission Board of the SBC in South Asia. This is their first time coming to NCBC. Kelly and I had the joy of knowing Christy when she was a teenager. Christy had a powerful walk with Jesus as a teenager. They serve the Lord Jesus in a very strategic place in the world. You don’t want to miss hearing them.
I want to encourage you now to begin giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Our new president of the IMB, David Platt has recently announced a restructuring of personnel that will result in our mission force going from 4800 to 4200 missionaries worldwide. This is happening due to a lack of funding. Let’s do all that we can do to help make up the shortfall. Our goal is $20,000.00 to Lottie Moon fund. All of this money goes straight to the mission effort of the Southern Baptist Convention.
It is a joy to be your Pastor. May the Lord’s rich and abiding blessings rest upon you and your family.
