June 5 North Central to the Nations Update

Happy Friday North Central!

This week, instead of highlighting a particular ministry that North Central is a part of, I instead wanted to highlight a ministry that we as the Body of Christ are to partake in.  The ministry of Prayer.  One of our greatest privileges, as well as greatest responsibilities, as believers in Jesus is to diligently intercede for others.  1 Timothy 2:1-4 states,

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth.

No matter our setting or circumstances, we can have a powerful ministry through prayer!  I urge you to utilize this time at home to deepen your prayer life and begin a ministry spanning Gainesville, North America, and throughout the world.

In light of this challenge to pray, I have put together a 30 Days of Prayer guide.  This document contains specific ministries, people, and places that are connected to NCBC in some way.  I have included a few specific prayer requests for each day.  For some of the countries I list, if you would like more information on ways to pray for them, I encourage you to check out www.prayercast.com/nations.html.  This is an excellent resource on understanding the work that is still needed around the world.  I have so many more prayer resources that I would love to share with you!  Please email me at meghan@gatorchurch.com letting me know that you would like them, and I would be happy to send them your way!

I am so excited to begin praying my way through this prayer guide.  I look forward to having you join with me in this way as we labor together for the nations – even while apart.

In Christ,

Meghan Williams
