Dear Church Family,
I’m writing this article after a life-changing trip to Cuba with a team of 9 North Central members. God’s hand was on the group as we ministered at the Second Baptist Church of Caibarien, a coastal city about 5 hours from the capital of Cuba. Thank you North Central Family for raising the $3,000.00 needed for the construction. The walls went up on two new rooms that will become the Pastor’s office (He has been there for 13 years) and for a church Bible study room and library. People came to Christ! The Gospel was shared with over 60 children and parents and the church was encouraged! Praise Him!
Wear Your Colors Day is Homecoming Weekend, October 16th! Wear your favorite team colors that day. We will also have our Unhindered Recommitment Sunday on this day. Every member of North Central is asked to commit to the final 13 months of the Unhindered Debt Retirement program. Our goal is 100% participation. Everyone can sacrifice something and give to this effort. If we totally eliminate this debt we will save thousands in interest and $135,000.00 out of the church budget. This will free up money for our ministry budgets. We have had almost no increases in the money spent reaching people in the last 9 years. We have trimmed everywhere we know to trim. Fixed costs continue to rise so finishing well will be huge for us!
Love Loud is an effort of our church to reach our own community and beyond! One of our goals is to minister locally to Hidden Oak Elementary teachers and families. On October 30, we will collect children’s winter coats that school officials will hand out to needy students. Please bring them on Sunday, October 30th. On the 6th of November, we are collecting diapers for the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes ministry. It is our goal to make our congregation aware of the needs of children in our county and give ideas as to how we can get involved. On the 13th of November, we will collect Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes to be sent all over the world to bless children. Our Life Groups are challenged to set a goal of how many they plan to put together and bring on this special day.
I am equipping anyone interested in Evangelism Training on Monday or Wednesday nights from 6pm-7:30pm. Pick either night. Just let me know you are coming so we will be prepared for you! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for a study of God’s Precious Promises on Sunday evenings at 6pm for worship and Bible study. The praise time is powerful and the promises from Scripture are “out of this world!” Also, you greatly encourage our Children’s Choirs by your presence as they often sing for this service.
Our Youth have some special outreach events scheduled in October! Kris and our Youth Ministry Team are doing a great job reaching out to our teenagers. High School “Late Night” is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12 and Middle School “Mayhem” is on the 19th.
Our College Missions Retreat is October 21-23. This is one of the highlights of the year for our students. Life calling and priorities are challenged at this annual event. Let’s lift up this event in prayer!
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on Sunday night, October 30th. Mark this date on your calendar! We will gather with all of our church family to remember the amazing gift of salvation offered because of the cross of Christ!
Wow! We have many opportunities to grow and make a difference in the world. I challenge you to plug in and get involved. The most exciting life in the world is one lived for Christ. “Only one life twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last”.
Truly it is a joy to be your Pastor!
