Good Evening North Central!
This week I have the privilege of introducing you all to Mitchell and Brigit Shedd, North Central’s newest ministry residents. Both were members of NCBC prior to coming onto our team, Brigit having attended for about three years and Mitchell almost a year and a half. Both Mitchell and Brigit had their lives profoundly impacted by the gospel throughout their college years and experienced personal transformation as a result of this. They both have recently graduated from UF and felt that God was leading them to be in a position to impact college students with the gospel in the same way that others did for them.
Practically, for them this looks several different ways. First and foremost, their heart is to train and equip students to witness to the lost and make disciples so that not just Gainesville can be reached, but the entire world. They are doing some of this through partnering with the BCM and working with students in the dorms. Additionally, they are investing the freshmen and sophomores of NCBC by leading one of the college life groups this year. Recently, they have been able to minister to our students simply by opening their home to them. Currently, many NCBC and BCM students are in the middle of Welcome Week and seeking to reach as many of the students coming to campus as possible. It is a really exciting week, but also very tiring. Mitchell and Brigit have used their home as a means of ministering to these student leaders and giving them a place of rest during this crazy season.
Please be in prayer for them as they enter this season of ministry. Pray for their marriage to be strengthened, for wisdom on how they can continue using their home to minister to students, and for the opportunity to meet international students in their current housing. Mitchell and Brigit would love to have you commit to their prayer team and staying up to date on all of the things God is doing in their ministry. If you would like to stay connected with the Shedd’s ministry, email Mitchell at email@example.com! I hope you all are as excited as we are to have such a great couple partnering with us in Kingdom work. Praise God for the laborers He continues to raise up!
